My Autumn Princess

5 year olds rock, I adore them and really enjoy talking with them.  I love how forthright, bright and curious they are as their world opens up in leaps and bounds.  I watch Aria with as much wonder now as I have since she was born, trying to bottle the moment in my memory knowing how quickly she's growing up.  Of course, with this growing up there are more and more moments of "sauciness" that give me a glimpse of what's to come, but I won't think about that now.  Having her hand to hold, listening to her create elaborate storylines while we play puppets, watching her sleep, loving books & forts & porches & house trucks together - it's all magic, magic, magic...  Now I have the challenge of choosing which photo of my radiant, happy angel I would like on our Holiday cards...  How do I choose?  Which one is your favorite?

The Wonder of Boys

Anyone who knows my girl, knows that she is ALL girl, (She's fancy, dancey, has a crush on Freddy from Scooby Doo, etc...)  Spending time with Alisa's boys in a big backyard perfect for running, climbing, hanging upside down, finding bugs and much more was a treat!  The finale to this perfect morning of photographing was Andrew falling asleep on his Mama's shoulder looking like an angel. (Sigh)  Alisa does mothering so beautifully and it shows in these happy boys...

Grace Under Wet

The definition of style is "The way in which something is said, done, expressed, or performed".  Each time I have had the pleasure to work with Steve & Stephanie, I think about how they are a couple with great style.  Their vision of their Wedding was as unique and beautiful as they are, and it certainly turned out that way.  They both showed tremendous grace and style under very chilly and rainy circumstances that lit up the day more than the sun would have.

This is Matthew.  Each month I will be basking in the joy of photographing him his first precious year - I am so excited!  It's not just the birth of a baby, it's the birth of a new, tender family and a whole new world of love!  I watch Dave & Michelle with him and think about containing this beautiful moment in time, in a way that captures the immense love they have for him.  I am so grateful to witness this!

Love & Autumn in the air...

Kim and Corey's Wedding, and family and celebration were so much fun; I kept saying to myself "I have the greatest job in the world!"  Everywhere I looked I saw moments of love & moments of laughter.  It made the day so bright, oh and the sun was helping out with that as well - HOT!  As much as I love the summer I'm ready for Fall and am enjoying the little signs telling us it's around the corner...  Photographing in the Fall is so magical...
